The G2 Villiers Stakes over 1600m at Randwick is the feature attraction on Saturday. The Listed Christmas Cup, Listed Razor Sharp, $500,000 Inglis Nursery for 2-Y-O's and $250,000 Inglis Sprint for 3-Y-O's are other highlights, There are four Listed races at Doomben headlined by the Lough Neagh Handicap and it is well supported by the Gold Edition Plate for 3-Y-O's, Phelan Ready Stakes for 2-Y-O colts and geldings and Calaway Gal Stakes for 2-Y-O fillies.

The Perth Summer Carnival continues on Saturday with the G1 Kingston Town Classic over 1800m at Ascot being the feature attraction; the early betting for the WFA Kingston Town is wide-open in one of the strongest editions in its history. The G3 Sir Ernest Lee-Steere Classic for 3-Y-O's is another highlight on this great card which also includes four Listed races. The Listed Brisbane Handicap and Just Now Handicap for fillies and mares are the features at Doomben. The Listed City Of Marion Stakes is the feature at Morphettville while the Listed Doveton Stakes is the highlight of racing at Sandown.

Scahill Stakes over 1400m is the feature attraction at Ascot. The Listed Mode Plate for 3-Y-O fillies over 1200m is another highlight at Doomben while the $100,000 Crystal Slipper Stakes for 2-Y-O's over 1100m is another highlight at Ascot. At Rosehill the features are the Listed Starlight Stakes over 1100m, Festival Stakes over 1500m and ATC Cup over 2000m.

G1 action returns to Perth on Saturday with the running of the Railway Stakes and Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot; the Railway over 1600m has attracted top-class WA gallopers Delicacy, Black Heart Bart and Real Love while Good Project, Messene and Mr Utopia represent the Eastern states. The Eastern states are represented by Buffering and Fast 'n' Rocking in the WFA Winterbottom over 1200m but there are many WA gallopers with the credentials to win. The G2 WA Guineas for 3-Y-O's over 1600m is the other feature at Ascot. There is no metropolitan racing in Melbourne; Ballarat is hosting a stand-alone meeting with the Listed Ballarat Cup over 2200m being the highlight.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival is over for another year but the Spring Carnival rolls-on at Sandown with the G2 Zipping Classic over 2400m being the feature attraction; the race named after the great Zipping which won this race on four occasions has attracted an even field. Other highlights at Sandown are the G2 Sandown Guineas for 3-Y-O's over 1600m, G3 Sandown Stakes over 1500m, G3 Eclipse Stakes over 1800m, G3 Kevin Heffernan Stakes over 1300m and G3 Summoned Stakes for mares over 1500m. The $100,000 Keith Noud Handicap is the feature attraction at Doomben.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival concludes on Saturday with an excellent card of racing at Flemington. The G1 Emirates Stakes over 1600m and the G1 Darley Classic over 1200m are the feature attractions.
The Emirates is a wide-open betting affair while Chautauqua is an odds-on favourite for the Darley Classic.
The track at Flemington is currently rated a heavy-8 (Friday 4pm) and the rail is out 6m for the entire circuit.

It is Ladies Day at Flemington on Thursday and the feature attraction is the Group 1 Crown Oaks for 3-Y-O fillies over 2500 metres. Jameka, Ambience and Sacred Eye have excellent credentials to take-out the $1,000,000 event but they are not the only chances in this very competitive race.
The track at Flemington is currently a good-3 (Wednesday 3pm) and the rail is out 2 metres for the entire circuit.
However rain is forecast over the next 24 hours and if that eventuates the track could deteriorate appreciably.

Japanese galloper Fame Game is one of the shortest-priced favourites in Melbourne Cup history as a result of a superb second to Gold Ship in the Tenno Sho back in May and his very unlucky sixth in the Caulfield Cup. However there are a lot of serious contenders among the locals and internationals and it sure to be another history-making race.
