Eagle Farm is hosting another Group 1 on its second meeting back from a long break with the running of the Tattersall's Tiara for fillies and mares over 1400m; Ciaron Maher's Azkadellia is a short-priced favourite in early markets but it is anything but a one-horse race with the likes of Precious Gem, Danish Twist and Cradle Me among the other chances. The other races on the Eagle Farm card are also very good including the G3 Tattersall's Cup over 2200m, G3 W.J. Healy Stakes over 1200m and four Listed races.

The Queensland Winter Carnival continues at Ipswich on Saturday with the Listed Ipswich Cup over 2150m and Eye Liner Stakes over 1350m being the feature attractions; the Listed Gai Waterhouse Classic for fillies and mares over 1350 metres is the other highlight at Ipswich.

With Eagle Farm washed-out last Saturday this week's Stradbroke Handicap meeting is even greater with the addition of the G1 Queensland Oaks for 3-Y-O fillies over 2400m and G2 QTC Cup over 1300m; besides the $2,000,000 Stradbroke Handicap and Queensland Oaks the Queensland Derby for 3-Y-O over 2400m and J.J. Atkins for 2-Y-O over 1600m are the other Group 1's. The G2 Brisbane Cup over 2400m, G2 Dane Ripper Stakes for fillies and mares over 1400m and G2 Queensland Guineas for 3-Y-O over 1600m are other highlights on this magnificent card which also features another two Listed races.

Eagle Farm reopens on Saturday after an absence of almost two years and the G1 Queensland Oaks for 3-Y-O fillies over 2400m takes centre-stage. Other black-type races at Eagle Farm are the G2 Eagle Farm Cup over 2200m, G2 QTC Cup over 1200m and the Listed Daybreak Lover for 3-Y-O over 1400m, Spear Chief Handicap over 1500m, The Phoenix for 2-Y-O over 1400m, Juanmo Stakes for fillies and mares over 1200m and Lightning Handicap over 1000m.

The G1 Doomben 10,000 over 1350m at WFA is the feature race in Australia on Saturday and the field includes G1 winners Azkadellia and Delectation as well as Fell Swoop, Dothraki and Music Magnate; other Group races on this outstanding card at Doomben are the BRC Sires' Produce Stakes for 2-Y-O, Grand Prix Stakes for 3-Y-O, Glenlogan Park Stakes for fillies and mares, Premier's Cup and Lord Mayor's Cup. At Sandown the Australian Hurdle and Australian Steeplechase are the feature attractions while the Listed WJ McKell Cup is the highlight of racing at Randwick.

The G1 Doomben Cup over 2000m at WFA and the G1 Goodwood over 1200m are the feature attractions on Saturday; other highlights at Doomben are the G2 Roses for 3-Y-O fillies over 2000m, G3 BRC Sprint over 1350m and G3 Fred Best Classic for 3-Y-O over 1350m. There is another great meeting at Morphettville; in addition to the G1 Goodwood there are two Listed races and another four G3's including the Lee Stakes which sees the return of Melbourne Cup winner Prince Of Penzance. At Flemington the Listed Straight Six over 1200m, Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes over 3200m and Heat 1 of the Winter Championships Series are the highlights.

There is Group 1 action in Adelaide and Brisbane on Saturday; the South Australian Derby for 3-Y-O over 2500m takes centre-stage at Morphettville while the BTC Cup over 1200m at WFA is the feature attraction at Doomben. Mick Kent is attempting to take the Australasian Oaks/SA Derby double with the early favourite Charlevoix having won the Oaks last Saturday with Abbey Marie. At Doomben the G2 Champagne Classic for 2-Y-O, G3 Rough Habit Plate for 3-Y-O and G3 JRA Cup are other highlights. Scone is hosting its annual two-day Scone Cup Carnival; on Friday the Listed Scone Cup is the highlight while the G3 Dark Jewel Classic for fillies and mares is the feature attraction on Saturday.

Morphettville will be the focus of most attention with the G1 double of the Australasian Oaks for 3-Y-O fillies over 2000m and Robert Sangster Classic for fillies and mares over 1200m; both races have attracted top-class fields and they are sure to be highly competitive. Other Group races on the Morphettville card are the Queen Of The South Stakes for fillies and mares, D.C. McKay Stakes and Euclase Stakes for 3-Y-O. There is also an excellent meeting at the Gold Coast where the G2 Hollindale Stakes over 1800m at WFA is the feature attraction; other highlights at the Gold Coast are the G3 Gold Coast Guineas for 3-Y-O, G3 Ken Russell Memorial Classic for 2-Y-O and Listed Silk Stocking for fillies and mares, Gold Coast Bracelet for 3-Y-O fillies and Prime Minister's Cup.

Other highlights at Doomben are the G3 Gunsynd Classic for 3-Y-O and Listed Bribie Handicap. Hawkesbury is hosting a standalone meeting on which the G3 Hawkesbury Guineas for 3-Y-O, Hawkesbury Gold Cup and Godolphin Crown for fillies and mares are the highlights. The G3 Chairman's Stakes for 3-Y-O and Sires' Produce Stakes for 2-Y-O are the features at Morphettville with the Listed City Of Adelaide Handicap and HC Nitschke Stakes for 3-Y-O being other attractions. The Listed Redoute's Choice Stakes for 2-Y-O is the highlight of racing at Caulfield.

With the completion of the Sydney Autumn Carnival there is a break in G1 action until the Australasian Oaks and Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville on May 7. However there is some very good racing on Saturday headlined by the G3 R N Irwin Stakes at WFA and G3 Schweppervescence Stakes for 3-Y-O fillies at Morphettville; the Listed Dequetteville Stakes for 2-Y-O fillies and Listed Redelva Stakes for 3-Y-O's are other highlights at Morphettv ille. At the Sunshine Coast there are four Listed races, the Princess Stakes for 3-Y-O fillies, Tails Stakes, Ascot Handicap and Mick Dittman Plate for 3-Y-O's, on an excellent card of racing. The Listed Bel Esprit Stakes is the highlight of racing at Caulfield.
